Streamline Fibreglass was contacted by a large construction company in the hope that we could find a solution to the failure and subsequent contamination of an existing GRP spa pool inside a working health club and spa. We visited the site to conduct a report into why this failure had occurred and what was needed to rectify this problem. After submitting our report and suggestions for possible solutions to our client, we successfully won the contract to remove the damaged fibreglass and repair breaches to the fibreglass product itself
This project offered us a new challenge, as we had to conduct all works while the gym was fully operational. We achieved this by creating a partition wall with door access, to offer a forced air extraction system, keeping fumes and particles at bay and maintaining our strict health and safety standards for the gym members.
As the problem was not visible until we were able to remove the tiles from the spa, we had to survey the spa itself and eliminate possible reasons why the failure had occurred. After we had removed the tiles and found the problem, we discovered that our survey was so accurate we could pinpoint exactly what was required to carry out the repair to meet the demanding timescale involved. Our experienced installations team also oversaw the application of the retiling to give our client comfort and assurance that this work would be carried out to our professional high standards. Our work was conducted on time and within budget; ensuring that the spa is fully operational once again.
